1. The 2021 Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs Exchange Conference (HCH) is to be held in Wuhan from November 10 to 12, and the long-awaited Special Session on International Education Cooperation will kick off in parallel with the main conference.

2. To fully implement the work requirements for the 2021 HCH Special Session on International Education Cooperation, the Hubei Provincial Department of Education convened a coordination meeting on preparation work for the special session on the morning of the 14th. The meeting mainly briefed participants on an overview of the special session, heard reports on preliminary preparation progress from relevant universities, and discussed and arranged follow-up work plans. 

3. Attendees included leading officials of the Hubei Provincial Department of Education in charge of related affairs and persons-in-charge of relevant divisions, principal staff from the International Cooperation Offices of universities directly under the Ministry of Education, university leaders in charge of international exchanges and heads of International Cooperation Offices of selected provincial universities, as well as representatives of the organizer and undertaker institutions.

4. The meeting covered four agenda items. First, the person-in-charge of the Foreign Cooperation and Exchange Division presented a general introduction to the HCH Special Session on International Education Cooperation. Second, representatives from co-organizer Wuhan Hyde Cambridge Education Consulting Co., Ltd. delivered a report on the early-stage preparation work of the special session. Third, university leaders in charge of international affairs shared an overview of their institutions’ international cooperation and exchange programs as well as their respective preparation progress for the special session. Finally, leading officials of the Hubei Provincial Department of Education summarized the core spirit of the meeting, issued important work instructions, and commended the preliminary preparation efforts devoted to this year’s special session.
