At 10 a.m. on November 26, 2025, a research group from the China Education Association for International Exchange (hereinafter referred to as the Association), led by its Deputy Secretary-General Wang Luxin, visited Manchester metropolitan Joint Institute, Hubei University for research and guidance. The visit aimed to gain an in-depth understanding of the achievements and experience of Hubei University and its Manchester metropolitan Joint Institute in international exchange and cooperation, and to jointly explore the future development direction.

Zhang Donghui, Vice President of Hubei University, extended sincere gratitude to the research group for their visit and guidance on behalf of the university, and introduced the overall layout, development history, major achievements and future plans of Hubei University in the field of international exchange and cooperation. She emphasized that the university has always regarded internationalization as an important development strategy, and is committed to improving its school-running level and international influence through multi-level and wide-ranging international cooperation.

Subsequently, Deng Xiaoming, Secretary of the Party Committee of Manchester Metropolitan Joint Institute, Hubei University, delivered a special report on the institute’s school-running situation, talent training model, faculty development, curriculum system integration, as well as the challenges and achievements in operation and management. She elaborated on the institute’s exploration and practice in introducing high-quality overseas educational resources and promoting the in-depth integration of Chinese and foreign educational concepts and practices.

In his speech, Huang Nianping, Level II Counsellor of the Department of Education of Hubei Province, fully affirmed the remarkable achievements made by Hubei University and its Manchester metropolitan Joint Institute in internationalized school running. He analyzed the new situation and new requirements facing the current international education exchange, and put forward ardent expectations for the future development of the joint institute, hoping that it could further play an exemplary and leading role and contribute more to the overall improvement of the opening-up level of higher education in Hubei Province.

Finally, Wang Luxin, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Education Association for International Exchange, delivered a concluding speech. He spoke highly of the solid progress made by Hubei University in international exchange and cooperation, especially in high-level Sino-foreign cooperative education. Combining the macro policies and development trends of national education opening-up, Deputy Secretary-General Wang Luxin put forward guiding opinions on the next work of Hubei University and its Manchester metropolitan Joint Institute. He emphasized the need to continuously deepen the connotation of international cooperation, optimize the cooperation model, ensure the quality of school running, and cultivate more high-quality talents with a global vision and competitiveness. He also hoped that Hubei University could continue to maintain close communication with the Association and jointly push the cause of international education exchange to a higher level.

This research activity has strengthened the communication and connection among China Education Association for International Exchange, the Department of Education of Hubei Province and Hubei University, pointed out the direction and injected new impetus into the international exchange and cooperation work of the Manchester metropolitan Joint Institute and even the whole university.
